The C 5-6 Quad Rod
Accessible Fishing
Above is the C 5-6 Quad Rod. The black
base plate slides under the chair cushion to
position reel and rod handle in optimum
position for range of motion.
Closeup view showing line passing from reel
to line plunger in open position.
As the rod is pulled back the line plunger
closes holding the line until pushed forward
when the plunger opens releasing the line to
cast. The wing nut adjusts to fine tune the
timing of the release.

lever. Note battery position under rod
between legs.
The C 5-6 Quad Rod on the North Platte River. This rig is efficient for a C 5-6 quad who is post injury
enough to be in shape to operate it. It takes strength and dexterity that fresh injuries usually don't have but
is easy and effective for experienced quads. This rod will cast 40' with ease. Coupled with the power chair
accessible raft you can float a trout river and present a lure into most of the good holes. The electric
John's Reel has 2 speeds to vary presentation and the rod can be pulled back to set the hook. This rod
has a modified Van's E-Z Cast hinge and is set up between the legs to gain optimum position.

The power chair accessible raft easily holds
a power chair and an attendant. There is
room for coolers, gear and your favorite dog.
